Life

A page documenting anything I deem worthy. In chronological order.

03-13-1963 – I am born.

??-??-1965 – The 1st of two events I clearly remember as a young toddler. I was around 2 years old when I had a surgery to remove a water sac/tumor from my groin area. I can clearly recall my mom walking up to me after the surgery. I was so upset that when she reached down to hold me I said “no” with a pouty face and looked away. lol..

??-??-1967 – The 2nd event which I can clearly remember to this day is when my mom was recovering from surgery. I was too young to go inside the hospital so my dad parked in front of her room where she leaned up into the window to look down at me from above.. I remember her face at the time perfectly as she waved at me.

??-??-1972 – I was never very good at baseball, but boy could I throw far…and fast. One day the coach asks me to practice some pitching. I do pretty good, nothing but fast balls. lol.. The coach decides to put me in a game as pitcher. I remember this clear as day. I end up hitting the first 3 kids I pitch to. Parents are screaming to get me out of the game. Coach pulls me out of the game, I snicker a bit and never pitch again. lol..

??-??-1972 – Glenn “Skipper” Ryle, and the bowling TV show Pinbusters. This was TV show that featured local bowlers in the Cincinnati area. My brother knew a guy that helped run the show and my brother ended up on the show. I think you had 2 frames to compete in. lol.. My brother lost, but somehow (wink, wink) I was chosen to be a competitor on the show a few weeks later. I won my match and advanced to the next week’s show! Unfortunately the show was cancelled and I never had the chance to move on. But it was awesome for my brother and I to be on the same TV show! 🙂

??-??-1971-72 – I can’t exactly remember the year, I was either in 4th or 5th grade. Our school choir performed songs from the broadway show “GodSpell”. I sang a duet of the song called “All For The Best“. My part was the faster section with a lot more words. lol.. I remember when it was time to sing my part, I totally scrambled the words and just started singing “dum diddy dum, dum diddy dum” over and over in perfect scat style with a big smile on my face and laughing. I remember the entire audience cracking up and laughing. It was hysterical. Years later I would visit a friend who had a recording of the performance and it was again…hilarious to hear. My voice was so high!

??-??-1973 – I audition for the Cincinnati Boys Choir. A few months later, I’m very active playing soccer. Heck.. I’m pretty good at soccer! My mom tells me I made the choir and informs me I have to make a decision. Either play soccer or join the choir. I join the choir. lol.. We had several performances, some of them for wealthy local dignitaries. We also recorded an album! I just ordered a copy of it from Ebay!

03-??-2000 – (Maybe 1999?) Caught a huge largemouth bass @ 2:00am. By myself, no camera, etc. I know I’ll never catch a bigger Largemouth Bass. I can put both of my hands in it’s mouth! The next day I stop fishing for Largemouth Bass and start researching Carp, Buffalo & Gar. Later I would go on to realize this fish had to weight 18-20lbs…. or more.

11-14-2014 – I win my first disc golf tournament! 🙂

07-01-2025 – I retired. So I’m retired now?
