Back in 2000 when I was dabbling around in my home music studio, I had just purchased a new digital instrument that allowed me to play acoustic guitar chord strums on my midi keyboard. I started playing these 2 chords on the keys while humming this quirky melody, eventually started singing with a humorous and what sounded like a slight Puerto Rican accent. lol.. And all I could think of was someone pointing at his woman and saying.. “It’s you!” lol.. 🙂
I had also purchased a pretty cool vocal processor that had all kinds of cool on board fx. One of them allowed you to change the pitch of your voice in real time. So I just had to add a rap section into the song. lol..
The song is hilariously not that bad imop, but surprisingly the instrumentation is pretty good! I think it sounds fairly close to actual musicians playing along. lol.. And I’m digging that bass line. 😉
Everything was played on a midi keyboard and recorded into my digital audio work station.
I hope someone gets a kick out of this because this is a big step for me… making a public musical *** out of myself. lol.. Enjoy!
